Lynden Community Church is just one of many churches in Lynden, WA. We have been here for over 100 years, and we believe God is still doing great things for us and in us! Our building is small, but our heart is huge in love for Jesus, love for one another, and love for our community. We are truly "Family" together in Christ.

Anyone listening to the recent local or national news is routinely informed about the hazards surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.  The leadership at Lynden Community Church take the health and safety of our members very seriously and are closely monitoring the guidance and recommendations provided by health professionals.  In response to these recommendations the leadership has decided that the formal gathering for worship on Sunday mornings will be suspended for three weeks.  We will continue to be in contact with you via phone or email.  The current plan is for us to meet on Sunday, April 5.  Should this change you will be informed by phone call or email.

What "defines" Lynden Community Church? Since there is no indication of what type of Church we are
ln that name, we want to be clear in what it signifies!  Does it just say that we are "a part of the community
of Lynden"?   We are that, but that may not give you a cleor indication of who we are - of what we believe -
of what we stand for as a Church in this community.  Here is our basic defining statement: "We are a Christ
centered Church in the Baptist tradition."

We are a "Community of Hearts devoted to Jesus." Our focus, as the Body of Christ is to "Fix our
eyes and hearts on Jesus, the beginning and conclusion of the faith that we possess." Jesus is at
the center in all we are and in all we do. And since that is true, our hearts will reflect His love and His Ilife to
those around us.

We are a "Community of Fellowship." Our source of fellowship is focused on Jesus and on His life
in us. But that extends to each one who comes to us to all who desire this kind of deep and significant
fellowship in Christ. Our desire is to truly be "one in Christ."

We are a "Forward looking Community."  While God has brought us to this present place, we
are always looking forward to what He desires us to be becoming for His glory. With the Apostle Paul, we
say, "We press forward .... "

We are a "Community based on the Word of God." Every community needs to have a common
guide for their existence. Our basis is that God's Word Is our guide in all matters of faith and action. It is from the Word of God that we draw together as One Body, and from that Word, we draw our purpose and
our authority to be a community.

We are ordinary people who have an extraordinary God who has brought us into a living relationship thru
the Lord Jesus Christ. We express this relationship in community with Him and with one another thru
worship, teaching, praying, and growing in Christ.   All are welcome to be a part of this community, so that
God's glory will be enhanced in the community of which we are a part.

We are a "Community of Caring." We come together to care for one another, in Christ, and to
care for those around us thru the love of Jesus. We "bear one another's burdens", thus fulfilling the law of

We know that this is only a brief summary of what we believe God has called us to be here in Lynden. If
you have questions, or want further information, please feel free to contact  the office (360 354-2226).
It is our desire to be as transparent as possible, so that you can know us and know the wonderful Savior that we love and worship. God bless you!
