Lynden Community Church is just one of many churches in Lynden, WA. We have been here for over 100 years, and we believe God is still doing great things for us and in us! Our building is small, but our heart is huge in love for Jesus, love for one another, and love for our community. We are truly "Family" together in Christ.

We Believe that the Bible is the inspired record of God's revealing Himself in human history and is the authoritative basis for all that we believe and practice.

We are a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching Church. We believe that God's Word gives us the basis for living our lives in tune with God, and in readiness to serve Him.

We Believe in One God, creator of the universe and all that is in it. We believe that  God made man in His own likeness and image, and that He desires a personal relationship with mankind.

We are a Church that believes that God still does wonderful things, if we will set our hearts toward Him. We are reminded of a quote by Henry Scougal (1600's) who said:

"Attempt only things so miraculous that without God, you're lost!" We don't know all the things that God is asking us to do yet,but we are seeking to know those things, so that we can work with Him in accomplishing them for His glory.

We Believe that Jesus is God's beloved Son, fully God and fully man. We Believe He came to this world to show us the life of God, and to die for our sins which separated us from the life and the presence of God. We Believe that He rose again, in power and victory over sin and the grave, and that He is now preparing a place for all who believe in Him.

We Believe the Holy Spirit is God in us. He empowers us to understand God's Word, and enables us to live Christ-like lives, Lynden Community Church is baptistic in their beliefs. We are an autonomous Church, and we support world missions and evangelism, as well as "needs-based" ministries in the US and around the world. We Believe that the Church is the Body of Christ in the world today. It is the means by which God lovingly reaches out to the world, to bring people into relationship with Him.

Our Vision

"Proclaiming Christ; Teaching the Bible; Serving our Community"

Our desire is to live connected to Jesus Christ in every possible way.

We desire that our lives will give clear evidence of Christ's life in us, and that we will walk in the Excellence of His Holy Spirit.

We are a Church that opens its heart to all who come. You will find a deep love for Jesus among our people, and a strong sense of welcome to those who visit with us.

We Believe that Jesus, in the fullness of time, will come again to take us into the very presence of God for all of eternity. We
do not know that time, but we live expectantly, looking forward to that promise. "Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22:20).

The people of Lynden Community Church are connected in many ways.

First of all, we are connected to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. That is the initial, essential connection for us to truly be "The Church." We believe that God sent His Son into this world to present His perfect design for mankind, culminating in Jesus' death on the cross at Calvary, and His resurrection in victory over death. He took our place, brought us forgiveness for our sins and gave us eternal life .

We are connected by love! Since we are "in Christ", we abide in His love, as Jesus taught us in John 15. We make it our purpose to "love one another as Christ has loved us."

We are connected through prayer. We are a Church that prays for one another and for the needs of God's people here. We pray together for our community and our world as we see the needs that are so prevalent around us.

We are connected to one another in God's Word. We are connected through our Worship Service on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM and through various Bible Study groups and ministry groups that meet together.  God's Word is always our guide.

You are invited to join us! We want you to experience our "connectedness" as God's people together here at Lynden Community Church. As the connections increase, so does our joy and our fellowship.

Come - Get Connected!

It is  true that at times, a person's choice of styles of music stands above everything else in finding a church home. It is also true that not all of us enjoy the same type of music. But worship is much more than musical style. Worship is to be focused on Jesus, and to be centered on corning into His presence with heart, soul and life itself.  The music we use is selected to bring us into the presence of Jesus. We sing hymns, choruses, and praise songs, blended together to draw us to Jesus.

God has chosen to rejoice "with singing" as we come into His presence.

Come and join us as we rejoice in Him with our singing.
